Presentation of the White Paper “Tourism and Luxury Shopping: Will India Lead the Future?” turns into huge success receiving national coverage – July 4th 2024

Milan, July 8th. The White Paper presentation event held on July 4th at the Global Blue Lounge in Milan was a resounding success, sparking a fascinating dialogue among attendees from various sectors, including fashion companies, hotel chains, and tour operators. The event focused on the burgeoning significance of tourism and luxury spending by Indian tourists in Italy.

Titled “Tourism and Luxury Shopping: Will India Lead the Future?”, the white paper highlights critical trends and behaviors of Indian tourists in Italy. It underscores the substantial increase in Indian visitors, attributed to factors such as rising disposable incomes and a growing inclination towards international travel. Indian tourists are particularly drawn to Italy’s rich cultural heritage, luxury shopping opportunities, and high-quality hospitality services.

This groundbreaking study is the first to provide valuable insights into the dynamics of Indian tourism in Italy, marking a pivotal step in understanding and leveraging this growing market.

The event was graced by notable figures, including Ivana Jelinic, CEO of ENIT SPA; Raj Kamal, Consul of the Indian Consulate in Milan; Andrea Tucci, COO of SEA Aeroporti di Milano; Edoardo Vittucci, Commercial Director of Fidenza Village; Fulvio Giannetti, CEO of Lybra Zucchetti; and Denise Bolandrina, Marketing Director of Global Blue, among many others.

Our partners in this project were SEA Aeroporti di Milano, Fidenza Village, Lybra Zucchetti, and Global Blue, whose support and collaboration were instrumental in the success of the event and the study.
